The issues related to the programs implemented in teamwork of Yerevan Municipality and European Investment Bank were discussed during the meeting of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with the delegation headed by the EIB Vice-President Jan Vapaavouri.
Greeting the guests and stressing the particular importance of the cooperation with the EIB, Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that jointly implemented programs are really important for Yerevan.
“We attach particular important to the cooperation with EIB in various spheres of urban economy and I am really glad that we have already implemented a number of successful projects fulfilled together. Today we are implementing cooperation projects in the spheres of solid wastes management, water supply, energy saving as well as the program of the metro reconstruction. I am sure that the effectiveness of already fulfied programs will become a basis for further expansion of our cooperation framework which will also involve urban transport regulation”, said Taron Margaryan adding that within it powers Yerevan Municipality is ready to discuss all the programs aimed at the ensuring the welfare of the resident.
The EIB Vice-President Jan Vapavouri in his turn stressed the importance of cooperation with Yerevan Municipality and expressing gratitude for constructive teamwork noted that the cooperation with Armenia actually started with the interaction with Yerevan.
“Mister Mayor, Yerevan is really a reliable partner for us and we intend to carry on our cooperation in other spheres of urban economy as well. We highly appreciate our interaction with Yerevan Municipality. i hope our cooperation will go on being mutually beneficial and will provide the results expected”, said Jan Vapaavouri.
