First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan visits French-Armenian Professional Education Centre
Yerevan Mayor’s First Deputy Levon Hovhannisyan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia H.E. Ms Anne Louyot visited the French-Armenian Professional Education Centre. The establishment was founded by the initiative of “Rhone-Armenia Formation Exchange” Association and the Centre for Professional Education of Rhone and with the support of numerous public figures of France and the RA authorities. The Municipality of Lyon is the main partner of the centre today.
Accompanied by the CEO of the Centre Gohar Grigoryan, the First Deputy Mayor and the Ambassador walked about the centre, familiarized themselves with the conditions provided for approximately 200 students. High-quality professional education, popularization of Francophonie and the way towards the international platforms: this educational establishment for nearly 20 years has been providing primary and secondary professional education to young people. The centre teaches culinary, dental technology, dressmaking, hairdressing and make-up art. This year the division of confectionary technology has been added.
The development program of the centre was presented during the meeting. Stressing the importance of the Centre’s activity Mayor’s First Deputy Levon Hovhannisyan noted that within its powers the community is ready to support any initiative aimed at preparing workforce possessing theoretical and practical knowledge that the job market needs.
