During his working visit to Arabkir administrative district Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan accompanied by the head of the district and the head of the Department of Communal Services of Yerevan Municipality familiarized himself with the process of implementation of the program of elevators repairing in blocks of flats. It should be noted that the activities are being carried out within the frames of teamwork of the Municipality, the administrative districts and condominiums.
In 2016, about 900 porches of blocks of flats will be renovated in the capital. The mayor instructed to set rigid control over the process of implementation attracting the residents of the blocks of flats in the process.
“The current problems in the blocks of flats have many-year history and require complex solution. With this aim, in the last three years we worked out a concrete policy of roofs, basements and porches renovation. Today we have more than 5000 blocks of flats which are run by condominiums. However, at the request of the residents Yerevan Municipality takes part in the program of housing fund preservation and annually financial means are disbursed from the city budget for this purpose. Concerning the program of porches renovation I'd like to note that we have set a concrete task before the persons in charge-by the end of 2019 about 13000 porches of blocks of flats are to be renovated. Within the recent 3 years more than 4000 porches have been repaired”, said the Mayor of the capital.
Related to the elevators in blocks of flats Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that with the aim of complex solution of the problems rooted for decades concrete measures are being taken today to work out a program and to apply a unified approach. Accompanied by the head of the district Mayor Taron Margaryan also visited the multi-profile sport school, the children and youth fencing school after Albert Grigoryan, functioning in the school after Raffi where within the frames of the annual municipal program renovation is going on. Familiarizing himself with the process Taron Margaryan once again instructed the persons in charge to keep the process under everyday control and to ensure the quality and terms of fulfillment.
