Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan met the members of the UNDP representation in Armenia with the UNDP Resident Representative Dmitry Mariyasin at the head.
Highly appreciating the tight and effective cooperation between the organization and the Municipality Hayk Marutyan expressed gratitude Mr. Maryasin who is completing his mission in Armenia for the team work and wished him new achievements in his career.
The Mayor stressed that a number of important programs had been implemented during the recent years. In particular, both parties outlined the initiatives aimed at energy efficiency increase in street illumination and safety improvement at pedestrian crossings as well as the energy efficiency program of Yerevan within the frames of which renovation of two kindergartens had already started.
Hayk Marutyan noted that the city authorities are willing to carry on and expand the cooperation directions with to create a secure and comfortable environment in Yerevan.
Dmitry Mariyasin in his turn attached importance to the achievements of the previous years and the projects which are to be continued.
The parties also discussed some perspectives of the city development.
