“Yerevan Color Run” – charitable action in the streets of Yerevan
Within the frames of “Yerevan summer 2015” program of the Municipality, by the initiative of “Run Armenia” project, “Street workout” Federation of Armenia and with the assistance of Yerevan Municipality “Yerevan Color Run” race was organized.
By the way, “Street workout” organization is a member of the Youth Council adjunct to Yerevan Mayor.
The run started in the area adjacent to Sport and Concert Complex after K. Demirchyan. Its main goal is to spread healthy lifestyle particularly among young people, to develop mass sports, especially the culture of running. Such races are organized in Russia, USA, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile and China. This action not only a sport event but an entertainment as well for at the end of the run the participants explode special packets with edible colorful powder which is of no harm. In spite of the early hour and unprecedented heat more than 1200 runners took part in the run. Those who showed best result were awarded.
