Large-scale construction processes must not create inconveniences for townspeople. During the regular working meeting Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan expressed dissatisfaction with improper organization of building sites. It was instructed to set permanent control via inspections to ensure appropriate organization of the activities and meeting sanitary norms at building sites.

The process of cleaning up the area of Yerevan Lake and Hrazdan canyon is to be continued within the scope of the annual program of Yerevan Municipality. The second stage of the program is going to start in a few days. It should be noted that within the first stage 650 trucks of trash have been removed from the area of the lake.

In parallel with cleaning Yerevan Lake a trash interceptor has been installed on the Hrazdan river. It was instructed to increase the number of interceptors if necessary.

All conveniences for recreation will be provided Abovyan square. Within the frames of complex improvement program, the authorities plan to modernize the illumination and irrigation networks, to set benches, dumpsters and to apply new landscaping solutions. The process is going on.

A new building is going to be built for Albert Azaryan Children and Youth Sport School of Gymnastics Olympic Reserve. The community owns a spare plot of land near the “Hrazdan” stadium which will be used with this purpose. The competition for the project has been held.

“Veolia Jur” company has cleaned up 10 sewage manholes and 87 drainage systems. The Mayor offered to give the list of manholes to the heads of administrative districts to keep the process under tight control.

The external illumination system of the park after Arthur Karapetyan and the nearby playground have been modernized.

Nearly 100 new hydrants will be constructed and 150 ones will be repaired in Yerevan within the frames of the program consisting of several stages. The work has been over at 90 locations.
