During the working meeting held today Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan introduced the new staff of Kanaker Zeutun administrative district Karen Hakobyan and the new head of the Department of Communal Services Ararat Khachikyan.
Regarding the items on the agenda the Mayor was reported about the state of the citizen got traumatic brain injury as a result of a stone falling from one of the balconies of the buildings in Moskovyan street. The state is satisfactory and the man has been discharged from hospital. Hayk Marutyan instructed the persons in charge to cooperate with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and to remind the citizens once more that the repairing of balconies is out of the Municipality obligations therefore, the repairing is to be done by flat owners and furthermore they will take the responsibility for similar emergency situations.
“From the legal point of view the responsibility is to be taken by the owner of the flat. However, we help the residents to repair the balconies. But there are cases when the dwellers hinder the repairing. Such cases must be excluded. We must explain to them that the whole responsibility is on them. We must find solutions within the frames of the current law”, stressed the Mayor.
Regarding renovation activities in municipal kindergartens it was reported that in 11 of 15 kindergartens involved in the program of the current year the process of renovation had been completed the rest ones are at the final stage. The departments in charge and heads of administrative districts have been assigned to specify the problems existing in kindergartens and include them in the program of the coming year.
At the end of the working meeting the Department of External Design and Advertising, the heads of administrative districts and “Yerqaghluys” company were assigned by Hayk Marutyan to start the process of installation of the main Ne Year Tree in Republic square. The Department of Culture and heads of administrative districts were instructed to make up the program of new Year and Christmas events.
