Monument to Homeland Defenders Unveiled in “Haghtanak” Quarter
The monument to the victims of Artsakh wars has been unveiled in “Haghtanak” (“Victory”) park in Malatia-Sebastia district of Yerevan. Yerevan Deputy Mayor GEvorg Simonyan, Mayor’s Advisor Sasha Katvalyan, NA deputies, participants of Artsakh war, relatives of fallen soldiers were present at the opening event. Many soldiers from this quarter participated in homeland defense, 22 of them perished. The installation of the monument to Homeland Defender and the improvement of the surrounding square has become possible due to some residents joined their efforts.
