World jazz in Armenian palette: Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan was present at open-air concert
World Jazz Day event in Yerevan was completed with the open-air concert held in the square of Cafesjian Centre for Arts. Best jazz performers and bands of Armenia- Karen Gevorgyan Quartet, Rafael Petrosyan Quintet, David Gyodakyan Band, Levon Malkhasyan Band, Vahagn Haytapetyan Trio, Tony Karapetyan, Freeman Jazz Band, New Quintet Band as well as the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia-took part in the concert. Special guests of the Jazz Day event were popular jazz performers Andre Manukyan (France) and China Moses (USA).
Yerevan Mayor was also present at the concert organized by the initiative of Yerevan Municipality and the Armenian Jazz Association. In his greeting speech Hrachya Sargsyan expressed gratitude to famous jazz performer China Moses for visiting Yerevan and stressed that restoring traditions the community should activate the cultural life of the city and come up with new initiatives.
During the event townspeople and the guests of the city had the opportunity to enjoy best Armenian and world jazz compositions.
