Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan welcomed the students of the “School of municipal leaders” founded by the initiative of the Union of Communities of Armenia. Greeting the young people Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed the importance of that initiative the aim of which is to develop knowledge and skills of participants, to stimulate the participation of youth in public life via the methods of informal teaching.

Presenting the system and peculiarities of Yerevan management Mayor Taron Margaryan attached particular importance the youth potential in the development of the country and its capital city-Yerevan.
“The doors of Yerevan Municipality are always open for the students of the school who want to get acquainted with the activity of the Municipality and the work of the staff on the spot, which is certainly very interesting and at the same time very difficult and responsible. We are always ready to hear out and discuss all constructive suggestions aimed at Yerevan development. Young people undertake the responsibility to ensue the consistence of sustainable development and strengthening out homeland and beloved capital. I am sure that you will carry on this work with honour”, stressed the Mayor of the capital.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the chairman of the Union of Communities of Armenia Emin Yeritsyan noted that this meeting is a good opportunity to get acquainted with the system of governance of the capital and the activity of Yerevan City Hall. It was also outlined that the four-month course for municipal leaders is free of charge and is provided for those young people interested in the sphere of local-self-governance and pubic governance.
During the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan answered the question of the students of the “School of municipal leaders”.
After the meeting a discussion-conversation on the theme of community management was held with the deputy Staff Secretary of Yerevan Municipality Arthur Karapetyan and deputy head of the Department of Finance of Yerevan Municipality Hamazasp Galstyan.
