The issues related to the establishment of friendly relations between the schools of Yerevan and Treviso (Italy) as well as to the cooperation in the sphere of education were discussed during the meeting with the delegation of Treviso (Italy) which was held in Yerevan City Hall.
Greeting the guests on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Chief Advisor of the Mayor Vano Vardanyan presented the achievements made within the frames of friendship and partnership formed between Yerevan and the cities of Italy. It was outlined that Yerevan Municipality welcomes all the initiatives aimed at cooperation expansion.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome on behalf of Italian delegation, the President of Fedepiazza foundation in Trеviso Giovanni Tosello introduced the activity of the fund stressing its cultural and educational aspects. Giovanni Tosello also conveyed the letter of Treviso Mayor addressed to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
The parties also discussed the issues related to the possibilities of friendly ties establishment between educational establishments of the two cities. Greeting the initiative of the Italian party the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of General Education Gayane Soghomonyan presented the guests the partnership established between Yerevan municipal schools and foreign schools and expressed hope that in the near future Italian schools will join their number.
At the end of the meeting the guests hared their impressions of Yerevan.
