Cascade Complex to Get Its Final Look: Land Plots to Become Public and Green Areas
Yerevan Municipality accepted land plots with total surface of 5105 sq m together with the constructions located on them as a gift from “Cafesjian” museum. The Council of Elders approved of the draft decision according to which the plots will become public and green areas.
It should be noted that in 2022, the community expressed willingness to complete the unfinished construction at the top of the “Cascade” complex, in the granted, undeveloped land plot of 11,53 hectares. The community is to finish the construction of the staircases and escalators with the 50th Anniversary Monument.
“The Cascade is one of the most important areas of Yerevan, one of the most beloved places of Yerevanians and a touristic centre, thus people should know that the “Cascade” will get its final look”, stressed the Mayor.

The Council of Elders decided that with the aim of effective supervision over Yerevan budget performance, from now on the Council of Elders will make a decision about holding an audit of the annual report on budget performance in accordance with the RA procedure regarding procurement not later than at the last meeting of the year. The audit is to be paid from Yerevan budget. The independent auditory organizations that have no less than 5 years of work experience, at least 7 employees who have no less than 5 years of work experience and at least 2 of which have any international qualification, can participate in the competition for holding the audit.
