New principles and approaches in HR policy to be used: refresher courses at Yerevan Municipality

Yerevan Municipality in collaboration with the UNDP initiated trainings in a new format and the employees of the HR Management Department of Yerevan Municipality an of 12 administrative districts participated in the refresher course. More than 20 employees are participating in the one-week course.

According to Yerevan Mayor’s Advisor Mary Margaryan, it has become vital in the rapidly developing world to reconsider the principles and approaches used in human resources management. The strategy of reforms adopted by the city authorities is aimed at branding the employer and employees are the important players in this process. The concept will involve the values of the system and help the society to form the correct judgment of the given structure, Working in the new format will make it possible to present the employer brief and correct information which in its turn will contribute to proper decision making.
Mary Margaryan also added that other state establishments show interest in this initiative. Yerevan Municipality is open for experience exchange and its initiative can serve a precedent and a motivation source for other institutions. She stressed that their highest interest is the interest of the state as if the state system works effectively, the state has the possibility to develop.
Yerevan Municipality Department of Human Resource Management is fully switching to digitalization and installation of new systems. The process will soon be visible with efficient organization of activities and high-quality services.
