Spring tree pruning starts in the capital on March 5. Within the scope of the meeting held in Yerevan City Hall the head of the Department of Nature Protection and the specialists of the sphere presented the employees of landscaping companies the main requirements to be met during tree pruning.

“We should avoid the practice which got public reprimand and follow the decisions which will be appropriate and useful for society”, said the head of the department Khachik Hakobyan adding that to provide proper tree pruning certification of each tree must be carried out, and all dry trees must be sawn off.
This year all pruned branches will be cut into smaller pieces and distributed to the social groups which were given the wood before.
Tree pruning will be carried out during non-working time and at weekends so as not to bother citizens.
