Capital city getting ready for New Year holidays
The traffic is temporarily ceased in some streets because of festive decoration activities prior to New Year and Christmas holidays. During the regular working meeting, Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan apologized for inconveniences and expressed hope that townspeople will like the creative illumination of the city. It was also mentioned that whenever possible the activities are organized at night hours so as not to hinder the traffic.

Taking into account the fact that prior to the New Year holidays street trade becomes more active, the Mayor instructed to reveal cases of illegal street commerce and eliminate them.

Yerevan Municipality carries on the process of notification of economy entities regarding obligatory improvement of their objects and surrounding areas. It was reported that 95% of the entities listed had been notified. In winter months the entities are also obliged to clean up their adjacent areas from snow and ice.

Sari Tagh 6th street have been provided with night lighting. 220 LED lamps have been installed. The construction of the lighting network of the second segment of the circular road of Yerablur pantheon is over as well.

The trolleybus fleet of the community will be replenished with 15 new, modern trolleybuses by the end of the year. The process of import of 150 “Zhong Tong” buses and 87 “MAN” buses is going on as well. Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan instructed to start the process of drivers’ employment.
