Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan took part in the opening of the shopping gallery «Tashir street». The complex with the total area of 12000 sqm was constructed by «Tashir» group of companies within the frames of the investment program of reconstruction and complex improvement of Northern avenue. The investment program is $14 million has become another example of effective cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and private sector.The shopping gallery s situated in the underground part of the main street provided for pedestrians in Northern avenue.
The honour of solemn opening was given to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and to the president of the charitable foundation «Tashir» Vahe Karapetyan.
Accompanied by Vahe Karapetyan the mayor walked about the area of the shopping center and the persons in charge presented the conditions created in the center. it was noted that the shopping gallery has 6 entrances from Northern avenue and they have escalators and a lift. It was also noted that 5000 sq of the gallery provided for rent includes clothing, perfume and cosmetics shops, jewelery and accessories shops, electronics shops, cafes including new brands for the Armenian market: New Balance,Togas,Kare Design,Skechers and so on. Below the trade pavilions there is a parking place provided for 200 cars which is available for the visitors of the gallery and others.
Answering the questions of the journalists Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan said that with opening the shopping center two important problems were solved: a number of working places were created and an underground parking was provided.
«The implementation of investment programs within the frames of cooperation between the state, community and private sector is really important.Years ago Yerevan Municipality and «Tashir» company signed a memorandum which included opening of this center too. First of al it is important as more than 300 new working places have been provided solving the problem of employment for more than 300 people. The construction of the parking place for 300 cars is of not less importance which will help relieve the streets in this area. Taking the opportunity I want to congratulate all the persons in charge of the company, Samvel Karapetyan and thank for the investments in Yerevan», said the Mayor.
It should be noted that the construction of the center became one of the stages of the program of Northern avenue improvement finished in autumn of 2015. During the firsts stage «Tashir» company carried out the reconstruction of the avenue including re-tiling of the walkways, landscaping, lighting, architectural and technical, thermo-insulation activities which make it possible to create a comfortable environment which had its special place in the creation of he new image of Yerevan.
All the activities of reconstruction and building the shopping gallery were carried out by the own building and financial resources of «Тashir» group within the frames of the program of reconstruction and complex improvement of Northern avenue. At the present «Tashir» group goes on a number of improvement projects in the capital including the complex reconstruction of the park locate between Saryan street and Mashtots avenue of Main avenue, which will have special fountains. Besides, the construction of the new building of «Yerevan circus» after Leonid Yengibaryan is also going on at the full swing.
