At the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, an overhaul has begun on the 2.3-kilometre road connecting Gyurjyan Street and Myasnikyan Avenue in the Nor Nork administrative district.
This project represents a shift toward a more integrated approach to urban infrastructure. During the road overhaul, underground utilities and all engineering networks are being fully upgraded and expanded. Overhead utility lines are being relocated underground.
The scope of work also includes the complete modernization of the street lighting system and the construction of new sidewalks.
The project, together with the planned construction of an overpass, is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion on Myasnikyan Avenue.
