Within the frames of the three-month program of events “Yerevan summer 2016” this time “Yerevan TarazFest” which is to be held for the second time, will be held in the capital of Artsakh.
The details of the festival were presented during the meeting with press by Yerevan Mayor’s Assistant Maria Baraghamyan, by the director of “Teryan cultural center”,designer Lilit Melikyan, the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism Ruben Hovhannisyan, the first Deputy Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Tamrazyan, the head of Stepanakert Municipality culture division Karine Harutyunyan, designers Aram Nikolyan, Vahan Khachatryan and the director of Yerevan History Museum Armine Sargsyan. According to Yerevan Mayor’s Assistant Maria Baraghamyan, taking into account the active cooperation between Yerevan and Stepanakert, this year the festival which was to be held in Yerevan on August 5 will be held in Revival square in Stepanakert on August 4, at 17.00-22.00.
“During the recent visit of mayor Taron Margaryan to the NKR an agreement was made to hold a number of actions of the three-year program of events “Yerevan summer 2016” would be held in the capital of Artsakh. It should be noted that Stepanakert Municipality has its significant role in this issue and within its powers it would assist in proper organization of the events. As regards “Yerevan TarazFest” festival I’d like to note about 2000 visitors were hosted in Yerevan to be present at this festival during the last year’s festival. We expect there won’t be lack of participants and visitors in Stepanakert too. taking the opportunity, we invite everybody to take part in the second “Yerevan TarazFest” and enjoy the unique presentation of the rich Armenian culture through national costumes”, said Maria Baraghamyan.
Attaching particular importance of the decision to hold “Yerevan TarazFest 2016” in Stepanakert the First Deputy Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Tamrazyan in his turn outlined that both Stepanakert Municipality and the NKR ministries of Economics and Culture and Youth Affairs will show any support to ensure proper organization of the festival.
“In recent four years a number of events have been organized in teamwork with Yerevan Municipality. This one is unique and we are sure that that it will give a new stimulus to our cultural cooperation and promote tourism development”, said Suren Tamrazyan.
During detailed presentation it was informed that the works from Yerevan History Museum collection, the samples of Megeryan carpet museum works by “Marashlean” photo-studio, by Anahit Simonyan fashion studio, as well as by some individual designers will be displayed in 16 special pavilions placed in Revival square in Stepanakert. Artsakh carpet plant, a number of Artsakh masters, museums, organizations will be presented in separate pavilions.
Expressing gratitude to Yerevan Municipality for the assistance in the organization, the director of “Teryan cultural center”, designer Lilit Melikyan expressed confidence that “Yerevan TarazFest” in Stepanakert will certainly draw a lot of interest.
The event will consist of two parts: an exhibition-fair, in which craftsmen and organizations both from Yerevan and Artsakh will participate; and the show of works by designers Lilit Melikyan, Aram Nikolyan, Vahan Khachatryan.
During the whole program folk groups of Yerevan and Artsakh will perform and the evening defile will be accompanied by ive performance of “Mikael Voskanyan and friends” band.
