The working meeting held in the City Hall today has been broadcast online via all official municipal platforms for the first time. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan. The Mayor stressed that this is another important step to let townspeople be more aware of the problems existing in the capital and the measures being taken to solve them.
Before switching to the issues on the agenda, the Mayor touched upon discipline of the staff and stressed that the working day starts from 09.00 for all employees.

To improve the quality of services provided for citizens the “Mulberry” electronic system of documentation management is going to be installed in Yerevan Municipality. Mayor Sargsyan instructed to take consistent steps to install the new program as fast as possible simultaneously ensuring uninterrupted operation of “Elpas” program.
“We must have tools to ensure proper services for townspeople. Today, the Municipality works with “Elpas” system which even in case of modernization can’t become an efficient tool, therefore I made a decision to install “Mulberry” system in the Municipality of Yerevan to manage the documentation circulation. This way we will be able to set appropriate supervision over paperwork which is in rather poor condition. Today’s system doesn’t allow to supervise the work of our employees”, stressed the Mayor.

A new washing station for trolleybuses and new community buses will be constructed in the area of “Electratransport” company’s park area to provide proper sanitary condition of public transport vehicles.

Within the frames of transport reforms program the management centre will be operated in the Municipality. The centre will keep under control the work of public transport due to cameras installed in new buses.

The drivers registered in “Yerevan Bus” company will get medical insurance package. Referring to the problems of the sphere the Mayor instructed to solve the problem of technical maintenance of the new buses to put them into operation maximally rapidly. “We have 211 new buses however we can see lots of people waiting at the bus stops. It’s illogical to have new buses but be unable to use them”, stressed the Mayor.

Within the scope of the program being implemented with the UNDP Armenian office modernization of external lighting systems in the capital and installation of energy saving lamps will be continued. Instead of 100 million drams provided for this goal, 250 million drams will be disbursed from Yerevan budget in 2022.Attaching importance to significant savings made due to the program, Hrachya Sargsyan noted that they will be directed not only to general system improvement but also to prolongation of night lighting schedule.

New waste bins are to be installed near bus stops of Yerevan. It was reported that the competition for procurement of 1200 waste bins had been announced.

Last year certain activities were carried out to dry up the reeds at Yerevan Lake. The area of 16 hectares is occupied with reeds and it caused water loss. In parallel with carrying on cleaning up the lake from reeds the possibility of laying a recreation zone on this plot will be discussed.

It was also instructed to work out the action plan of reconstruction of the underground crossings in the area adjacent to Mashtots avenue, Grigor Lusavorich street and “Covered market”. The Municipality is ready to discuss investment proposals related to the underground crossing adjacent to Grigor Lusavorich street.

All structures carrying out activities in the sphere of life support are obliged to ensure proper supplies in parallel with any large-scale constructions going on in the capital. “Gazprom Armenia”, “Electricity network of Armenia” and “Veolia Jur” company will be provided with the building permissions given for the constructions at blocks of flats in Yerevan so that these companies could estimate their work and ensure uninterrupted supplies.
