The RA president Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and other top officials were present at the Divine Easter Candlelight liturgy served by the Vicar of the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan at St.Sargis church. The preacher was priest Shahe Hayrapetyan.

According to the church rules, at the end of the Mass the Feast of Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord was announced and people greeted each other with the words "Christ is risen from the dead" and received the answer "Blessed is the resurrection of Christ".
Afterwards Archbishop Navasard served the home blessing ritual.
