Economy entities are noticed about obligatory improvement of adjacent areas

On the decision of Yerevan Council of Elders, economy entities are obliged to keep the areas adjacent to their objects clean and well-arranged.4403 of the entities operated in the city have been warned to adhere the established norms. The community-owned establishments will be notified as well.

During the regular working conference Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan instructed to complete the process as soon as possible and to take measures to bring the areas in order.

To prevent illegal street trade the Municipality goes on carrying out inspections. Last week 57 protocols were drawn up, 87 cases are being proceeded.

The community intends to construct a new sewage line along the Hrazdan river to solve the problem of dumping sewage waters into Yerevan Lake. The competition for the project has been announced. Simultaneously, it was instructed to discuss the possibility of operating the cleaning station of Aeration with the Water Committee.

The illumination system of Ashtarak highway is being reconstructed and modernized. All wires are to be replaced to manholes. The relevant earthwork has started and 125 new pillars will be placed afterwards. The illumination system of Azatutyan square is oing to be brought up to date as well. The project competition will be announced soon.

The community has been negotiating for a long time to start architectural activities in the place of unfinished construction in the upper segment of “Cascade” complex. Currently, some arrangements have been made and more detailed discussions are upcoming.

Community-owned and school libraries are to include costs for book purchase in their budget. Pre-schools will also be replenished with teaching and learning literature. The library of Shushi which now works in Stepanakert will be replenished with new books as well and joint activities are going on in this regard.
To make the work of libraries more effective meetings with readers and publishers are planned.
