With the assistance of Yerevan Mayor, the president of Yerevan Chess Federation Taron Margaryan, the citywide memorial chess tournament between schoolchildren dedicated to the Olympic chess champion, international grand master Karen Asryan has been held in the capital for the third time.

Having finished the discussion of the agenda of the fourth and last meeting of the 9th convocation of Yerevan Council of Elders the Mayor’s Advisor Gagik Baghdasaryan presented brief report on the activity of Yerevan Council of Elders in 2013-2017. Within the reported period 52 meetings were called during which 743 

During the 4th meeting of the 9th convocation of Yerevan Council of Elders, which was chaired by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Council approved of the draft decision on installation of the memorial board commemorating the professor, academician of the RA National Academy of sciences Lendrush Khurshudyan at 9, Nalbandyan street.

During the last meeting of the second convocation of Yerevan Council of Elders the Council approved of the draft decision on free alienation of the flat to the participant of Artsakh war, Colonel Karen Baghdasaryan.

According to Yerevan Municipality Department of Health, in the period from 19 to 25 of May 389 babies-200 boys and 198 girls were born in maternity homes of Yerevan. In the same period 43257 citizens applied to municipal out-patient clinics.

The three-month program of events “Yerevan summer” is going to be held in Yerevan for the 5th year running. The events start on June 1, the International Day of Children’s Rights Protection.

During the regular working meeting in the City Hall which was conducted by Mayor Taron Margaryan, it was reported that the process of renovation of entrances of blocks of flats was going on in accordance with the schedule. Of 1618 entrances provided by the program of 2017, 297 ones have already been renovated.

It instructed to carry on everyday control jointly with Yerevan Police and to take corresponding measures particularly to prevent building wastes dumping in inappropriate areas.
