The extinguishing of the ignition at Nubarashen dump has been going on for 5 days: all vehicles and machinery of the community-owned company for waste removal and sanitary cleaning, technical means of private companies, the resources of Yerevan Rescue Service department and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures were involved in the process. During the regular working meeting it was reported that ignition had spread throughout the territory of the dump and it can take a week to put it out completely and to do with the smoke.

Taking into account the level of air pollution in Yerevan, the community is starting the process of installation of air pollution monitoring devices. This will be the first experimental project of installation the “Smart City” concept, which will make it possible to get information about air pollutants and take proper preventive actions.

Special equipment and machinery corresponding with international standards is to be placed at building sites of Yerevan. To fulfil the project Yerevan Municipality is negotiating with the Asian Development Bank upon getting technical support and involvement of international consulting.
The community set a firm requirement for building companies so that they install dust collecting nets at building sites. Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan instructed to be consistent in this regard and to ensure fulfilment of the norms set.
***: Four more new electric buses have arrived in Yerevan. It is planned to operate the new electric buses at Route 10. Considering that the new vehicles are able to move additional 60 km without being attached to the cables, some changes will be made in the itinerary. Route 10 will be prolonged from “Barekamutyun” metro station towards Kievyan, Halabyan streets and will get to Yeghvard highway servicing Davtashen administrative district as well.
*** The process of replacement of overground communication cables in Amiryan street underground has come to its final stage. The project is being fulfilled in Acharyan street as well. It was instructed to involve other streets as well.

The renovation of the park dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War is going to be over. All conveniences will be provided for proper recreation in this park which outstands with its architectural look and fountain complex.

The government-financed project of construction of a fountain complex in front of St. Gregory the Illuminator church has been started.

The monuments installed in recent 10 years have been inventoried to be added to the list of historical and cultural monuments. The process has been implemented in collaboration with the RA Ministry of ESCS. The community has submitted nearly 100 offers.
