Citizens Not Vaccinated Against Measles Are Urged To Turn To Policlinics and Get Vaccinated

Up to this moment the number of laboratory confirmed cases of measles is 20 18 of which have been taken to hospital. 15 of them are residents of Yerevan. During the regular working meeting, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Gevorg Simonyan reported, that additional shifts were organized in all municipal policlinics on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00, several citizens got vaccinated, certain activities were carried out to reveal those infected and those who were in contact with them, necessary consulting was provided as well. Generally, 146 citizens got vaccinated. The persons in charge urge the parents whose children have been vaccinated to turn to local policlinics and get their kids to vaccinate. Vaccination is advisable to everyone. The process is free of charge.

Certain solutions were worked out in teamwork with the Road Police to regulate the heavy traffic in the capital. The traffic organization has changed in some parts of the city due to street marking, installation of road signs and road dividing berries. The process is to be continued this year.

Yerevan Metro plans to overhaul two three-carriage rolling stocks. After the renovation the fleet will comprise of 16 trains which will relieve the burden of wagons and reduce the intervals making the environment more comfortable for passengers.

Renovation of Abovyan park is still going on. Modernization of external illumination and irrigation networks, installation of new trash cans and benches as well as new greening solutions will make the area more comfortable for townspeople.

Building sites of Yerevan are to be arranged in accordance with international standards. The Municipality negotiates with the Urban Development Committee to implement the project. Legislation changes will be made if necessary.
