Spring Tree Pruning Starts in Yerevan
On March 13, the spring pruning of trees started in Yerevan. During the regular working meeting Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan instructed first to fulfil the process in problematic areas where branches can hinder the traffic because of hiding road signs and street illumination.

Locked mines in Yerevan will be greened. It was arranged with the Regional Council of Ile de France to work in teamwork to change such areas into green zones using the successful experience of France in Yerevan.

In 2022, large-scale activities were carried out in drying out the reeds at Yerevan lake. More than 8 ha of reeds were removed from the spot. This year it is planned to carry on the process in the segment from the spot where the Hrazdan river flows into Yerevan Lake up to the lake.

The companies engaged in the life support sphere will make significant investments into improvement of power supply, gas supply and water supply systems. Mayor Sargsyan instructed to select the addresses on the bases of permissions given by the Municipality and allot them to the administrative districts to keep the process under permanent control.
The Mayor stressed that in an urban environment it is impossible to carry out serious projects without causing some inconveniences, so the organizations should join efforts to organize the process correctly and provide proper sanitary and safety conditions in the areas where the certain activities are going on.

To spread the workout sport style in Yerevan special equipment is installed in the administrative districts. The process is almost over in Davtashen, Malatia-Sebastia, Arabkir and Nor Nork districts.
