During the regular working conference chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan the head of Social Welfare Department Ruzanna Zakaryan reported that the program of social aid for homeless people is going on, besides, explanatory work with the juvenile and adults begging in the streets is being carried out. The Mayor considered it necessary to present the tasks of the program and the statistics regularly.

“In various corners of the capital we can still meet homeless people who spend nights in streets and bus stops. The Department of Social Welfare must carry out everyday work in this regard cooperating with the heads of administrative districts and the police. Besides, the data about the persons registered in temporary shelters and about the conditions of their living are to be publicized. The persons registered in temporary shelters for the homeless who have no problems with health should be employed for public activities in corresponding municipal subdivisions”, said Taron Margaryan.
At the end of the working meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the corresponding departments to get ready for the events dedicated to the International Day of Elderly People, to Teachers' Day and to Librarians' Day which are respectively marked on October 1,5 and 7.
