Cooperation treaty has been signed between Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan and the Central Okrug of Novosibirsk, Russia. The treaty was signed by the head of Nor Nork district Armen Ulikhanyan and the head of Novosibirsk Central Okrug Sergey Kanunnikov.

In the period from September 30 to October 6 478 babies were born in maternity homes of Yerevan-242 boys and 236 girls. In the same period 38274 citizens applied to municipal out-patient clinics of the capital. 

At the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan tight control is going on to prevent illegal construction, land occupation and liquidation of their consequences. This was reported during the regular working conference. Last week 15 cases of illegal construction were revealed last week. At 6 addresses the unauthorized constructions were dismantled. It was instructed to go on rigid control.

Yerevan Mayor, the chairman of Yerevan Chess Federation Taron Margaryan was present at the solemn ceremony of closing of the international chess tournament “Yerevan open”. The participation applications were received from 140 chess players from 11 countries among which were 23 international grand masters and 9 international masters.

On the event of Yerevan Day, by the order of the President of Republic of Armenia, for the contribution to upbringing of the younger generation, the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of General Education Gayane Soghomonyan was awarded with the honorary title “Distinguished Teacher”.
