During his working visit to Yerevan Zoo Mayor Taron Margaryan familiarized himself with the second stage of the program for the Zoo reconstruction and development. The program is financed from the city budget. Accompanied by Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan and Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan as well as the director of the Zoo Ruben Khachatryan Yerevan Mayor watched the process of implementation. 

From the 2nd to 6th of May 117 letters were received through social media websites and e-mail of Yerevan Municipality and administrative districts. 80 of the letters got corresponding solutions, 37 ones are being processed.

During the working visit to Yerevan greenhouse facility Mayor Taron Margaryan familiarized himself with the preparations for landscaping and flower decoration of the capital to be carried out this year. The Mayor walked about the greenhouse, talked to the employees.

Yerevan Municipality Department of Health Care informs that in the period from April 28 till May 4 361 babies-178 boys and 183 girls- were born in the capital. In the same period 35058 citizens applied to municipal out-patient clinics.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the factory of handmade carpets “Megeryan carpet”. Accompanied by the president of the company Raffi Megeryan the Mayor walked about the premises and watched the process of carpet making.

The stocks of municipal libraries were enriched with new literature published during the recent years. On the whole the libraries were complemented with 16000 books of 400 names. Music literature as purchased for music schools.

During the weekly meeting in the City Hall Mayor Taron Margaryan was reported that in accordance with point 5 of paragraph 17 of the RA Election Code, in the areas of polling stations in administrative districts activities are going on to provide the availability of voting for people with physical disabilities during the coming elections of the Council of Elders of Yerevan to be held on May 14,2017. It was noted that the problem had already been solved at 324 polling stations.

During the regular working conference in the City Hall chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan the head of General Education Department reported that tight control is set in final classes of municipal schools and senior groups of kindergartens to exclude possible cases of money collection on the occasion of holding final events.
