On May 9 the area of Mother Armenia memorial was crowded. On 72nd anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War the RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, His Holiness All Armenian Catholicos Garegin II, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, other officials, top officers and numerous citizens traditionally visited here together with veterans.

I felt pain to know that the RA Distinguished Architect, the author of the Emblem of Yerevan Albert Sokhikyan passed away. the eminent painter and architect had his special role in the cultural life of Armenia. Albert Sokhikyan had great contribution to the spiritual and cultural formation of the capital. In 1993-97 he was the Chief Artist of Yerevan.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the solo concert of the singer, composer, the RA Distinguished artist Nersik Ispiryan during which Arabo and Aghasi Ispiryans also performed their songs. The concert held in Azatutyan square united townspeople and the guests of the capital. Folk and patriotic songs were performed during the concert.
