Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the Minister of Moscow Government, the head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations Sergey Cheryomin and the chairman of the Moscow City Duma Alexey Shaposhnikov who arrived in Yerevan within the scope of “Moscow days in Yerevan”. The head of Yerevan Municipality representation in Moscow Makar Nahapetyan was present at the meeting too.

Yerevan Mayor,President of the board of trustees of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Taron Margaryan was present at the jubilee dedicated to the 95th anniversary of NUAC Armenia. During the event accompanied by concert program was presented the history of the university full of achievements which for already a century has been forming the history of Armenia through architecture and construction.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a working visit to “Vernissage” located in Main avenue, where he watched the process of implementation of the second stage of reconstruction, modernization and improvement program.

The RA President Serzh Sargsyan together with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the opening of “Yerevan fair” trade center which was opened at the initiative of “SIL Concern” company. The honour of solemn opening of the center was given to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and to the co-owner of “SIL Concern” Robert Sukiasyan.

During “Moscow days in Yerevan” events a round table discussion was organized the theme of which was “Mechanisms for state preservation of cultural heritage objects”. The heads of corresponding subdivisions of the RA Ministry of Culture, representatives of Moscow Municipality and Moscow establishments engaged in preservation and restoration of historical and cultural values took part in the meeting.

From October 28 to 29, within the frames of cooperation program between established between Yerevan Municipality and Moscow Government for 2013-2016 Moscow days in Yerevan will be held. The program includes cultural and sport events as well as a round table and business forum.

During the regular meeting of the Council of Elders held on October 26 the Council took a decision on giving the Yerevan community-owned area located in an administrative building at P. Buzand 1/3 to cultural and educational foundation “VEM” with the right of free use till September 30, 2018. 

The draft decisions on placing the memorial boards commemorating the RA Distinguished Builder Razmik Alaverdyan, the RA Distinguished Architect Artsvin Grigoryan and the statesman, party and public figure of the Soviet period Vardges Hamazaspyan were discussed and confirmed at the regular meeting of Yerevan Council convened on October 26 and chaired by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
